SORTED – Coffee Morning
At our ‘Thank you to our Volunteers’ event, we were able to thank those who help our at SORTED each week. We are also fortunate to be able to use the facilities at Northfield Church, where we have our ‘over 55’s club’ on a Wednesday morning. It was a really good opportunity to be able to say thank you for the work that they have done for more than 10 years. The volunteers were presented with a certificate by the Chair of the PCC, Jenny Brady.
The group started out as a coffee morning on a Wednesday and has now grown into a bowling group, yearly holiday group, regular day trips and has over a hundred members.
The team help to make decisions about events and new activities, such as how they will be celebrating their 10th Anniversary of the formation of SORTED.
Although John is the chair of SORTED, he is well supported by members of the team.
Irene and Ruth welcome members and collect subscriptions.
Michael keeps the registration information.
Gloria and Maureen make tea and toast (and do most of the washing up). Arthur collects the money for the day trips and organises the transport.
Pat is Secretary and collects money for people who want to save up for the trips. Sue is Treasurer and keeps a record of all the money received and writes the cheques for money paid out, in order to produce a separate set of accounts for each of the groups at the end of the year.
